HCM City's tourism sector experienced a thriving period during the five-day holiday commemorating Reunification Day from April 27 to May 1, generating an estimated revenue of over VNĐ3.23 trillion (US$127 million), marking a 3.4 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.

With a total of 325,000 visitors, including approximately 54,000 international tourists, the city showcased its allure through various exciting activities and celebrations. Highlights included a captivating music gala themed "Bản Hùng Ca Vang Mãi" (Heroic Songs) at Nguyễn Huệ Pedestrian Street and a spectacular fireworks display on April 30.

The music gala featured renowned singers and dancers, captivating audiences with songs commemorating significant historical events and honoring the country's development. Additionally, a series of fireworks performances at five venues added to the festive atmosphere, celebrating South Việt Nam's Liberation and Reunification Day.

During the holiday, popular attractions such as the Củ Chi Tunnels Historical Site and the Cần Giờ Mangrove Biosphere Reserve attracted around a million local and international tourists, demonstrating the city's rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.
