Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, in his capacity as Chairman of ASEAN 2024, will lead a high-level delegation to the ASEAN Future Forum in Hanoi, Vietnam. The forum, themed "Toward fast and sustainable growth of the people-centered ASEAN Community," will convene on April 23, inviting leaders from across the region to discuss pivotal issues shaping ASEAN's future.

Prime Minister Sonexay is slated to co-chair a crucial discussion titled "Toward strong and sustainable ASEAN Economic Community: seizing opportunities in the digital era." This session, engaging business leaders and research institutions, aims to chart a course for economic growth and resilience in ASEAN amid digital transformation.

Additionally, Prime Minister Sonexay will hold bilateral talks with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation between Laos and Vietnam, fostering closer ties and mutual development.
